About > Students

A large proportion of the student experience for younger students is the social side of campus life. For mature students this could often be a drawback - moving people away from their normality.

At Taurtanga we recognise the importance of stability and by providing an online-only model of learning you will still be in your normal home environment able to mix with your peers of old.

Coronavirus is not something any country can just eradicate through vaccination, it is a way of life for the future and college centers can be a hotbed for coronavirus transmission. Although the fatility rate of students aged up to 39 is only around 0.2%, concerns over the spreading of the virus and lost study days can result in a lower final grade.

Many universities were forced to close in response to the coronavirus pandemic and where they did manage to switch to an online working model the social side, and therefore then mental health and wellbeing, of students was often overlooked.

Tauranga address this by proividing all students with forum access where they can communicate with eachother and of course our professors are on hand to provide support, guidance and encouragement along the way.
